Disruptive and
Disrespectful Behavior |
The Board of Directors of Attleboro Youth Soccer would like to address the issue of
disruptive and disrespectful behavior by players in the Travel program.
Attleboro Youth Soccer expects that players will conduct themselves in a mature,
respectful manner. Players should arrive at both practices and games prepared to play and
listen to instructions from their coach. Disruptive and disrespectful behavior by any
player or players cannot and will not be permitted to negatively impact the opportunity
for the rest of the team to develop their skills and pursue their interest in the game.
Similarly, our coaches, who commit so much of their time and energy to their teams, should
not and will not be expected to tolerate such behavior.
Coaches have been instructed to address any issues promptly and directly with the
player or players involved, and, if necessary, with those players parents. If the
situation warrants, the respective Girls or Boys Travel Director will become involved, and
if necessary, refer the situation to the Board for disciplinary action.
We would ask that every coach communicate these expectations to their teams and every
parent review these expectations with their child.
If there are any questions or concerns regarding this policy, they can be addressed to
the AYS Travel Director (508)226-SOCR / (508)226-7627
